In today’s time,
one needs to have that ‘edge’ over other
candidates in order to get the simplest of jobs. What should candidates do to stand
out to get or keep their jobs?
The simple fact of
the matter is that if you want to stand out you’re going to have to do and be
what other applicants do not do or have.
·
Firstly, bragging about yourself is
OKAY. Talking about your highpoints does NOT mean you’re being conceited! This
is your moment to prove that you are really qualified for the post.
·
Researching the company before you
attend the interview is a sure-fire way to impress the interviewer.
·
At the end of the interview session,
you gotta tell them that you want the job. Don’t whine and say you need
it. Tell them you want it. Surprisingly not many people do this. Discuss
the salary issue wisely.
·
Get some contact info from them so
that you can not only keep it for future reference, but also so that you can
thank them later on.
These are all
simple steps, but will take you a long way in reaching the end goal of getting
not just any job, but in getting that edge over other candidates who are
applying for the job you want. Try it, it works!
